Second Beach, La Push Do yourself a favor and go check out the brilliant tidepools out at Second Beach in La Push! There were so many visible sea creatures, we loved the vibrant colors. It is about a two hour drive from the Cottages, then it is less than a mile hike to the beach. I’ve never seen so many sea stars and anemones congregated so close together, usually we’re…
Hurricane Ridge Hurricane Ridge is the gateway to dozens of amazing trails and views! Simply park at the visitor’s center and you’ll experience gorgeous 180 degree views without even leaving your vehicle! Or hike for miles across the ridgelines! See wildflowers and marmots in the summertime, and enjoy skiing or snowshoeing in the winter. We like to brave Obstruction Peak trail and hike down to the pristine mountain lakes.     Visitor Center Amenities Open daily in summer; hours vary remainder of year. Visitor information, exhibits about the Olympic’s mountain habitats, Passport stamping station, 20-minute orientation film shown on request. Guided…
We offer kayak and paddleboard rentals for our guests. Down on our private beach we have a boat launch next to our boathouse, which houses eight kayaks and two paddle boards. With the rental comes life vests and water shoes. Go out for a couple of hours and stay close to the cottages waterfront, or go for the day and make a trip out to the Dungeness Lighthouse, make sure and count how many seals you see on your trip!
